The National Weather Service in Louisville says strong to severe storms are possible the afternoon and evening of June 6.
According to the latest forecast, the system could bring gusty to damaging winds, hail and ponding water to minor flooding, with conditions most likely to begin between 4-9 p.m. Louisville is currently under a slight risk for severe storms, meteorologists said.
June 7 is expected to be mostly dry, with scattered storms possible after 5 p.m. Louisville is under a Level 1, or “marginal risk,” for storms June 7-8. Here’s what we know about the upcoming forecast.

A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning after 4 p.m. with west winds ranging from 3-8 mph. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a high near 84 and low around 66. Precipitation chances increase to 60% with showers and thunderstorms likely mainly before 9 p.m. New rainfall amounts of between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Saturday
A 20-80% chance of precipitation with showers and thunderstorms possible mainly between 3-5 p.m. and again before 8 p.m. to after 2 a.m. People can expect a high near 82 and low around 67 with southeast winds ranging from 3-5 mph. New rainfall amounts of between a quarter and half an inch possible.
Sunday
A 20-30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. People can expect west winds of 6-8 mph and mostly cloudy skies that gradually become sunny with a high near 82 and low around 65.
Monday
A 20-50% of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 8 a.m. and before 2 a.m. Partly sunny skies turn mostly cloudy with a high around 79 and low near 62.

Sunny skies stay mostly clear with a high around 80 and low near 59.
