Aug. 27—A rural Albert Lea woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after two vehicles collided on 770th Avenue north of Albert Lea.
Amy Larson, 79, was taken by Mayo Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for possible injury. The extent of her injuries was not known.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office stated Oscar Imperial, 42, was driving a 2007 Honda Ridgeline south on 770th Avenue and Larson was driving a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee north at 2:16 p.m. when Larson turned left at 22711 770th Ave. into the path of Imperial’s car. He reportedly slammed on the brakes but crashed into the passenger side of the vehicle going 55 mph.
Imperial was checked out at the scene but was not transported.

Police received a report at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday of theft at Hy-Vee, 2708 Bridge Ave.
Counterfeit bill reported
A counterfeit $100 bill was reported at 2:05 p.m. Tuesday at 906 W. Front St.
Juvenile cited for e-cigarette
Police cited one juvenile for possession of an e-cigarette device on school property at 2:29 p.m. Tuesday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.
Theft reported
Police received a report at 4:28 p.m. Tuesday of a Domino’s topper that was stolen off of an employee’s vehicle at 910 S. Broadway.
Hit-and-run crash reported
A hit-and-run crash was reported at 4:59 p.m. Tuesday at 609 E. Main St. A vehicle was reportedly side-swiped at about 2:30 p.m. and the vehicle left at a high rate of speed.
Theft by fraud reported
Police received a report at 6:24 p.m. Tuesday of a stolen credit card that was fraudulently used at 6:24 p.m. Tuesday at 2751 E. Main St.
1 injured in motorcycle, car crash
One person was reportedly taken to the hospital after a crash at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Martin Road and Lakeview Boulevard involving a motorcycle.
