Delaware State Police have identified the woman who died in a car crash in Milton June 6 as 74-year-old Mary O’Bier of Ellendale.
Around 4:30 p.m., a Sussex County EMS Chevrolet Suburban, with its emergency equipment activated, was traveling west on Milton Ellendale Highway police said. As the Suburban approached the Mulberry Street intersection, a Ford Bronco traveling north on Mulberry Street proceeded past a stop sign and into the path of the Suburban, police said.
The Suburban struck the passenger side of the Bronco, causing the Bronco to spin and hit a tree, police said. O’Bier, the driver of the Bronco, was taken to a hospital where she later died. The driver of the Surburban, a 38-year-old female paramedic, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
