A: 4-H has influenced my personal growth and development. The experiences in the show ring allow me to build upon my successes and learn from my shortcomings each year as I have grown as a person.

Q: What is something you do to relax?

A: I enjoy going for walks around the farm with my dog Tucker, working in my flower beds, and spending time with my dairy and livestock projects.

Q: Plans after high school graduation?

A: Animal science and business at Penn State University or Cornell University. I hope to carry on my family’s agriculture heritage to help positively impact the consumers’ viewpoint on agriculture.

Q: Who do you most admire and why?

A: My grandfather Dale Empet. Sharing hobbies with him such as woodworking, hunting and gardening has taught me lessons about having patience and respect, paying attention to detail and always completing your best work.

Q: What advice do you have for younger students?

A: I encourage younger students to take their passion and find a way to incorporate that into everything they do. No matter your passion, you can find a niche to learn more about something you love.
